Business Development Manager (BDM) (m/w/d) (Vollzeit)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven senior New Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team. This role demands an individual with a proven track record in consistently driving new sales opportunities and securing new business deals. The individual will need to be self-driven, motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic to develop and meet the company’s ambitious growth targets. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional sales acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to thrive in a competitive market environment. The New Business Development Manager (BDM) will report directly to the Commercial Director.

The individual will possess a passion for digital products, a solution-focused mindset, a customer-centric focus, a deep understanding of the DACH market and interest in remaining ahead of industry trends.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: identify, research, and target potential clients through various channels to generate new leads and opportunities.
  • Sales Strategy Development: devise and implement effective sales strategies aligned with the company’s goals to acquire new clients and expand market reach.
  • Client Engagement and Relationship Building: cultivate and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, understanding their needs, and effectively presenting tailored solutions.
  • Pitching and Presentations: prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, pitches, demos and proposals to potential clients showcasing the company’s value proposition, products and offerings.
  • Negotiation and Deal Closure: lead negotiations, handle objections, and navigate through the sales process to successfully close deals while meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Market Analysis and Insights: stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collaboration and Reporting: coordinate with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and operations to ensure seamless execution and report regularly on sales activities and achievements, including for C-level.

Experience: 

  • Proven track record of at least 10 years in new business development or sales role, preferably within technology businesses, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Strong track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and acquiring new business.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market opportunities and drive sales initiatives.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field and experience with software, hardware and services deployment strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of B2B technology business models, industry trends and best practices.
  • Willingness to travel
  • Native German speaker, fluent in English
